It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Barbara Jean Barr. She passed peacefully away in her home at the age of 80, on October 23, 2022. She will always be remembered as a kind and loving person and a friend to all that knew her. She was born on January 8, 1942, in Ferriday, Louisiana.
Barbara was an incredibly talented artist and determined individual. She started college later in life, and through grit and perseverance went on to earn her Bachelors in Fine Art degree and Masters in Fine Art degree from Colorado University in Boulder. She had a 40-year career in furniture sales, retiring in May, 2022 at the age of 80. She loved her job and the customers she helped, many of whom became good friends. Barbara had a twinkle in her eye and an infectious laugh. She was quick to find the positive in any situation and make the best of it. She was an avid reader and was always striving to grow and become the best person she could be.
She was a devoted Christian and has gone to be with her Heavenly Father. She is now free; free from pain of illness and free from the worries of this World. She will be dearly missed.
The funeral will be a private ceremony with only close family and friends present.
