Barbara Fay Batchelor

Graveside services for Barbara Batchelor, 97 of Giddings, Texas, were held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at the Damon Cemetery in Damon, Texas. Tim Pitts officiated the service.
Barbara Fay (Whitwell) Batchelor was born on December 12, 1927, in Pearsall, Texas, the daughter of Olin and Margret (Riggs) Whitwell. She graduated from Pearsall High School. Barbara was married to Lorrin Batchelor and they had two sons. She worked many years as a secretary with Lamar ISD.
Barbara passed away the morning of Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at Bec's Blessing in Giddings. She was one month away from celebrating her 98th birthday.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Olin and Margret Whitwell; her husband, Lorrin Batchelor; her son, Michael Batchelor, and her sister, Patsy Yeary.
Barbara is survived by her son, Douglas Steven Batchelor and Regina Brown of Giddings; two grandsons, Michael Batchelor of Sugarland and Jason & Kristin Batchelor of Sugarland; two great grandchildren, Olivia Batchelor and McClain Batchelor both of Sugarland, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
