Linda Joan Batchelor, 64, of Brenham, Texas, vision therapist and overall amazing Wife, Mother and Grammie, was called home by her Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ on November 11, 2025. Linda passed away peacefully at her home in Brenham.
Linda was born September 2, 1961 in Mount Holly, New Jersey to Robert O. and Norinne J.
Connor of Sherman, Texas. Linda married David Batchelor of Sherman, Texas on
October 20, 1984. Linda and David just celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary. Linda is a graduate of Sherman High School and University of Texas at Arlington, UTA. She lived in
Spring, Texas for 30 years until recently moving to Brenham eight months ago to begin a quieter - slower paced life.
Linda’s career began in the Semiconductor industry as a supervisor in a fabrication lab. She
spent a short time as a marketing rep for a hospital, then spent 10 years in insurance marketing for EDS (Electronic Data Systems) in Plano, Texas. She was trained in Dyslexia therapy through the St. Augustine Program and Neuhaus Education Center in Houston. She had a passion and love for children. Her personal goal was to teach children with Dyslexia or those struggling to read so they might one day read the Bible to discover the hope and saving grace of Jesus Christ.
Linda had a gift of compassion and a genuine love for others which made everyone feel special and loved. Linda’s favorite things were spending time with her family, especially her three grandchildren. She could be found with her grandchildren at Triple A baseball games, snowmobiling, sledding, skiing, camping, picnicking at state parks or tubing at San Marcos in the aquifer.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents Robert O. and Norinne J. Connor.
