Barbara Ann Beauchamp, a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2025, at Marwood Manor Nursing Home in Port Huron, Michigan. Born on June 19, 1936, in Marine City, Michigan, Barbara was the loving daughter of the late Ralph Bernard and Ailene (Baker) DuChene.
Barbara is survived by her adoring children, Michelle (Andy) Nichter of Marine City, Burt (Patty) Beauchamp of Marysville, John (Diana) Beauchamp of St. Clair, and Suzanne (Mark) Kimmons of Brandenburg, Kentucky. Her legacy continues through her beloved grandchildren, Heidi Nichter, Andrew (Amanda) Nichter II, Burt (Amber) Beauchamp, Scott (Jessica) Beauchamp, Laura (Nathan) LaPorte, Jeremy (Lindsey) Beauchamp, Tyler Simms, Ja'cene (Caleb) Hoskins, Jacob (Hannah) Beauchamp, Sean (Destiny) Adkins, Natasha Beauchamp, and Zachary Larimore; and her cherished great-grandchildren, Melanie, Lily, Andrew III, James, Liam, Logan, Preston, Carter, Kayla, Abigail, Ayiana, Theoren, Skylah, Grace, Charlotte, Daemeon, Maya, Evan, Isla, Navie, Levi, Connor, Jace, and Kaiden. Her aunt, Alice Kaminski, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, also survive her. Barbara was preceded in death by her beloved son, Robert Beauchamp, and her siblings, Mary Fernandez, George DuChene, and Charles DuChene.
Barbara's interests and hobbies were as diverse as they were passionate. She enjoyed gardening and crossword puzzles and her hands were rarely still. She was a talented seamstress who found joy in sewing, cross stitching, and creating beautiful pieces for her family and friends. Barbara loved garage sales and grabbing a hamburger from Dairy Queen. She cherished the times she spent at many different beaches with her children. Her love for her grandchildren was immeasurable.
Barbara Ann Beauchamp's life was a testament to the power of love, family, and the joy of everyday moments. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her, but her warmth, kindness, and the lessons she imparted will continue to inspire and guide her family for generations to come.
A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025 at Crossroads Community Church, 3631 King Rd, China Township, MI 48054. The memorial service will begin at 11:00 a.m. and a luncheon at the church will follow the service. Interment will take place after the luncheon at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Marine City. Arrangements were entrusted to Grace Memorial.
