Barbara (Ford) Berryhill, a beloved wife, mother, Nana, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2024, at the age of 90. Born in Salem, Arkansas, on September 14, 1934, Barbara lived a life full of love, laughter, and dedication to her husband and family.
Barbara graduated from Little Rock Central High School, and it was there that she met the love of her life, Ozzie. They married in May of 1955, and despite Ozzie losing his sight in 1976, their marriage was one of beautiful commitment, love, sacrifice, and respect. Along with being a dedicated wife, and sometimes caregiver, or "seeing eye dog" as Ozzie lovingly teased her, she was deeply devoted to her family and loved to make them laugh. Barbara loved to dress up and "clown around" and was even talented at miming. Her family describes her not only as loving, but silly as well.
Barbara was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ozzie Berryhill; her parents, Newell "Pat" and Bernice Ford, and her daughter, Sherry Berryhill. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Berryhill; her grandson, Chris Owen (Christie); her great-grandson, Jaxon Owen; her great-granddaughters, Ella Owen and Emma Owen; her brother-in-law, Jerry (Jeanette) Berryhill and their three children; her granddaughter, Stefanie (Ben) Reckerd, with their four children and one grandchild.
The family has decided to hold an intimate and private ceremony at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name can be made to Holland Chapel to fund student mission trips. Holland Chapel, c/o HCSM, 15523I-30, Benton, AR 72015.
Barbara's legacy is one of unwavering faith with her love for Jesus, and love for her family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
