Barbara Ann Casper was born on April 3, 1943, in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. Her parents were Chester and Marie (Falkavage) Worzella. Barbara went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on August 16, 2025.

Barbara went to a convent in LaCrosse at age 14 to pursue an education toward a religious career, only to return in a year for back surgery. Back issues plagued her for the rest of her life. Barb worked in a family bakery in her teens, then became a cake decorator at Dales Super Valu in Wausau. She was offered a job at a bakery in Iron Mountain, Michigan, moved there with her sister Norma, and there she met her future husband Dan. The rest of her life included moves to Oregon, Florida, Mississippi and back to Wisconsin as a pastor's wife. Barb was well known for her baking and cooking skills and never hesitated to share a loaf of bread or a meal.

She is survived by her daughters Karen Casper of Chippewa Falls, Trish Peterson of Westlund, MI, and son-in-law Kurt Reith of Chippewa Falls, grandchildren: Christie Casper, Lauren (T.J.) Holt, Cynthia Valentino, Kurth Reith Jr., and Abigail, siblings, Mary (Jack) Duffy, Anita Wessel, Gerald (Bonny) Worzella, Denise Hodgkins, Norma (Steve) Aronson, Junior (Jan) Worzella, Wayne (Pam) Worzella, Jane (Ken) Shidell, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel, who passed away on March 15, 2024; her daughter, Crystal Reith; her granddaughter, Myshell Reith; her brother, Mike Worzella; and her son-in-law, William Peterson.

Services will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Bethany Baptist Church, with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m., followed by a luncheon.
