Barbara Ann Cazeault (Clapp) of Osterville, MA, and Inverness, FL, passed away peacefully on June 7th at the age of 85, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
Born in Weymouth to the late Russell and Olive Clapp, Barbara graduated from Weymouth High School. Moving to Osterville in the late 70's, Barbara was affectionately known as the plant lady at the local A&P. Later she became actively involved in the family roofing business, Paul J Cazeault & Sons Roofing.
Barbara loved raising her children in Osterville, always ready for family, beach, and boating adventures. She enjoyed hosting family dinners, particularly the lobster feasts prepared by her beloved husband Paul. An avid reader and passionate gardener, Barbara found joy in the simple pleasures of life.
Predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Paul J. Cazeault, Barbara will be deeply missed by her children: Paul Jr. and Leslie of Englewood, FL; Russell and his wife Brenda of Marstons Mills, MA; and Stacy Gilmore and her husband Chris of Covington, LA. Her memory will also be cherished by her grandchildren: Bobby (Danielle), Krissy, Ellamae, Ronan, Caroline, Dane, and Keegan. Additionally, Barbara leaves behind great-grandchildren Joey, Jacob, Lucas, Kove, and Millie, who brought immense joy to her life. Barbara is also survived by her favorite sister, Dorothy (Dot) Mathewson, and her husband Bub of Weymouth, as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish to make a contribution in her memory may consider donating to the Osterville Garden Club. A Celebration of Life for Barbara will be held at 11:30am on Friday, June 14th, at the West End Restaurant located at 20 Scudder Ave in Hyannis.
