Barbara Clay, 90, of Yale, passed away Sunday, August 3, 2025, at the MediLodge of Yale.
She was born in Brockway Township on August 23, 1934, the daughter of the late George and Mildred (Caldwell) Meharg.
Barbara was an active and longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church, Yale. No matter what she was doing, Barbara always welcomed friends and family. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and watching their sports. She enjoyed quilting, line dancing, golfing and watching baseball, football, and tennis. Barbara was a past ambulance driver for the City of Yale, and a veterinarian technician at Yale Veterinary Clinic, in her later years, she was a volunteer at the We Care Resale Shop, Yale.
Surviving are two children, Randy (Denise) Clay and Rick (Janine) Clay and a former daughter in-law Joan Clay; grandchildren, Billy Clay, Andy (Melissa) Clay, Jamie (Brandon) Boyd, Jonathan Jeshurun, and Heather (Will) Kritzman; great-grandchildren, Tara and Kayla Clay, David, Nolan and Sarah Boyd, Graeson and Trenton Kritzman as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two children and a daughter-in-law, Bill (Pam) Clay and Janet Clay; a sister and brother in-law, Jeanne and Jim McCormick.
The family honors the memory of Barbara and invites you to visit and share memories Thursday, August 14, 2025, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Kaatz Funeral Directors, Yale. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 15, at the First Presbyterian Church with a visitation at 12 p.m. Pastor Mark Garavaglia will officiate.
The family would like to extend a thank you to MediLodge of Yale and Residential Hospice for their exceptional care for Barb.
