Barbara Dart, a lifelong resident of Connecticut, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2025, at the age of 90 in Mystic, CT. Born on April 28, 1935, in Stonington, CT, Barbara was a woman whose generosity, kindness, and thoughtfulness touched the lives of all who knew her. A graduate of Fitch High School in Groton, CT, Barbara dedicated her life to the care and well-being of others. For many years, she worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Apple Rehabilitation in Mystic, CT, where her compassion and commitment to her patients earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues and those she served. Barbara was married to Herbert Napper, who predeceased her. Together, they welcomed their beloved daughter, Cheryl Comeau. Barbara's family was the center of her world, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Her son-in-law, Andre Comeau, was also a significant part of her life, and she embraced him as her own. In addition, Barbara was predeceased by her brother Sonny Spellman and by her longtime companion Rudolph Cirioni. She will be sadly missed by Beverly Napper and Barbara Trowbridge. In her leisure time, Barbara was an avid knitter, creating beautiful pieces that she generously gifted to friends and family. Her love for sports was evident in her enthusiastic support for UConn Basketball and the Boston Red Sox. Watching games was more than just a pastime; it was a way for her to connect with fellow fans and share in the excitement of each victory and the disappointment of each loss. Barbara's gentle spirit and unwavering kindness left an indelible mark on her community. She was the kind of person who always remembered a birthday, who would offer a helping hand without being asked, and whose presence could light up a room. Her thoughtfulness extended beyond her immediate circle, as she was always ready to lend an ear or share a word of encouragement with anyone in need. The loss of Barbara Dart will be deeply felt by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. As we bid farewell to this remarkable woman, we take comfort in the countless memories and the legacy of love she leaves behind. Barbara's life was a testament to the power of kindness and the enduring impact one person can have on the lives of many. We celebrate Barbara's life and the joy she brought to our lives. Her spirit will continue to inspire us, and her memory will be cherished forever. Barbara Dart's journey on this earth may have come to an end, but her story will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
