Barbara Erni

Barbara Erni, age 79, of York Pennsylvania, passed away at her home on July 26, 2025 with her loving daughter by her side. Born on May 13, 1946 in Satu Mare, Romania, Barbara lived a life filled with generosity, kindness, and dedication to her family and her work.

Barbara was the beloved daughter of Julianna and John Lazar. She was the devoted mother to Beata May and Csaba Erni, a cherished grandmother to Seth Otto Erni and loving companion to Dana Eugene Taylor. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, John Erni, and siblings Margaret Birloncea, Helen Paszkan, Silvia Rodu, and John Lazar.

On December 31, 1983, Barbara immigrated to the United States with her children. She proudly became a United States citizen and was endlessly grateful to be in America. Barbara worked for Danskin and Graham Packaging, from which she retired in 2020 after 30 years of service. She loved crossword puzzles, cooking for family and loved ones, gardening, and admiring the birds in her meticulous flower garden.

Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Barbara may be made to the American Cancer Society.
