Barbara Jean Holder Everett, a dedicated and beloved mother age 82, of Sanford, passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Harnett County on June 19, 1943 to the late Otis Glenn Holder and Mary Esther Taylor Holder. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Wayne Everett, Sr.; sisters Lucy Moore and Linda Moore McLean; brother Glenn Holder and grandson Joshua Everett.

Jean graduated from Benhaven School. She was a member of Calvary Church, she loved the Lord and her church family deeply, Jean had a strong and unwavering faith, she joyfully sang in the church choir for many years. She loved her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Jean's greatest joy came from spending time with her family, friends, and church family. Her home cooked meals were loved by all who enjoyed them.

Her Kindness will be deeply missed by those who loved her.

Jean is survived by her children Robert Everett, Jr. of Sanford, Nicholas Chad Everett and wife, Ashley of Broadway, Pamela "Sissy" Fore and husband, Jerry of Sanford and Gala Bunch of Aberdeen; brother Jerry Holder of Sanford; grandchildren Chris, Bradley, Brandon, Jayden, Jordan, Avery, Olivia, Asher, Noah, Anna and Jack and five great-grandchildren, Addison, Blaine, Grayson, Nevaeh and Braylin.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Calvary Church with Rev. Curtis Norris officiating. Burial will follow in Johnson Family Cemetery.
