Barbara Gibson Fisher of Nathalie passed away February 20, 2024 at the age of 77. She was born in Pittsylvania, VA on September 17, 1946 to Dora Simpson Gibson the late Fred Lee Gibson. She was married to the late Earl Douglas Fisher.
She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Republican Grove. Barbara worked many years as a farmer, secretary, bookkeeper, and an income tax preparer. She was dedicated to her community by being a member of the North Halifax Volunteer Fire Departments, an EMT, and in the NHVFD Ladies Auxiliary. Barbara was also an avid reader, she enjoyed gardening, her flowers and especially loved her grandchildren. She will be missed greatly by all who knew her.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church of Republican Grove Cemetery with the Rev. Zac Ford, Rev. Shelton Miles and Rev. Ian Rigney officiating.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall.
