Barbara Jean Fugate, 83, of Carrier Mills, IL died Saturday August 23, 2025 at 3:16 am at Carrier Mills Nursing and Rehab Center. Funeral services will be held Saturday August 30, 2025 at 12 Noon at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Visitation will be held Saturday after 10 am until service time. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery in Harrisburg, IL. Reverend Bobby Gentry will officiate.
She was born on October 7, 1941 in Harrisburg, IL to the late Clark and Marie (Keasler) Horton.
She married John Fugate Jr. on November 25, 1961 and he preceded in death on December 4, 2021.
For most of Barbara's life she was a homemaker and loved to visit with people, especially when she was an Avon salesperson.
She is survived by her Son: Bill (Mary) Fugate of Carrier Mills, IL; 2 Brothers: Cletus (Della) Horton of Harrisburg, IL and Allen (Sandy) Horton of Harco, IL; 9 grandchildren and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Husband: John Fugate Jr.; Daughter: Rhonda Fugate; and 2 Brothers: Bob Horton and Ronnie Horton.
