Barbara E. Gantz (nee Martin), age 85, of West Chester, PA, passed away on November 22, 2024.
Born in Horsham, England on August 26, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Elsie (nee Higgs) Martin.
Barbara came to the US from England in 1961 and was elated to become a dual citizen of the United States on May 2, 1977. She was proud to raise her boys in the US.
Barbara was the beloved wife of the late George R. Gantz, Sr. She was the loving mother of Joseph K. Rimkis (Pam), Dr. Robert C. Rimkis (Joan), George R. Gantz, Jr. (Theresa), Charles V. Gantz (Tina), Dr. Valerie A. Biehl, and the late Steven J. Rimkis; proud grandmother of 19 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; dear sister of the late John Martin. Also survived by Phillip and Stuart Martin of England. She was predeceased by her great-grandson, Lleyton Slate.
Barbara worked for many years as a dental hygienist and office manager for Blackwood Dental Associates of N.J. After retirement she also worked at Paco’s Jewelry in Ocean City Maryland. Barbara loved to line dance with her friends in Selbyville, DE. Her English wit and humor made her the life of the party. Barbara loved all types of music and dancing while enjoying the simple pleasure of home and gardening.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Calvary Chapel Chester Springs, 217 Dowlin Forge Rd, Exton, PA 19341, followed by her Celebration of Life at 11:00 AM. Luncheon to follow. The Family is requesting to dress Easter/Spring casual (no black). The Celebration will be English Garden.
