Barbara George, 65, of Spring Hill, FL passed away on Friday, January 9, 2026, at the Owensboro Health Regional Hospital with her family by her side.

Memorial services shall be held at a later date. Dogwood Funerals & Cremations of Crofton is assisting with arrangements.

A native of Wayne County, MI, she was born April 6, 1960, the daughter of the late Loren Beaver and Patricia Beaver. She was married to the love of her life, David George, for 33 years. She worked as a school bus driver with the Van Buren Public School where she positively impacted many of the students to ride her bus over the years. Eventually she began working for Fed-Ex as a semi-truck driver until her retirement. Barbara was a hard worker who had a big heart but would show tough love when needed. She had a lively spit-fire personality and enjoyed having fun at the casino, playing bingo, listening to various genres of music and singing, and especially loved to travel and take cruises. Most of all, her family remarks on her extraordinary devotion and love of all of her grandkids. She ensured to always keep in close contact to each and every one. No one could hold a candle to the support and unconditional love she supplied to each of her grandchildren. Her family will deeply miss her.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband: David George; and her brother: Terry Beaver.

She is survived by her children: Craig (Tonya) Barton Jr. of Carlton, MI and Brandy (Raymond Sr.) French of White Plains, KY; her brother: Dennis Beaver; her sisters: Thersa Johnson Beaver and Carol White Beaver; her grandchildren: Sierra (Troy) French, Mariah (Andrew) Barton, Kory (Tiffany) Carter, Cheyenne Barton, Jeremy (Kaylee) Dotson, Wess Barton, Noah French, and Raymond French II; and her six great-grandchildren.
