Barbara Ann Gorman, 63, of Sunrise, Florida, passed away peacefully in her sleep on the morning of July 6, 2024, after many years of struggles with her health. She was a loving wife and mother, dedicated daughter, and devoted servant of God. She was a nurse of 17 years at Florida Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale and retired in 2004. She was a founding member of All Saints Catholic Church in Sunrise and was involved in volunteer work for the Archdiocese of Miami, the Dominican Retreat House, All Saints Church, St. Bernard’s Church, Our Lady Queen Of Martyrs, and Girl Scouts for many years. She was born into the Bradley family in Philadelphia, later moving to Fort Lauderdale. She attended school at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs and St. Thomas Aquinas High School, a school that she loved so much she sent her daughters there as well. She loved Disney World, taking countless trips with friends and family over the years. She was the biggest Harry Potter fan and shared that love with her family, always attending midnight releases and book clubs with them. She believed in the healing power of music and loved going dancing and attending concerts. Her family and her faith, however, were by far the two most important things in her life. She is survived by her husband, Louis, 63, whom she married on May 8, 1988, their two daughters, Kelly Ann and Stephanie, adopted in 1993 and 1996 respectively, and one grandson, Carson. She is also survived by her mother, Eleanor, 84, and brothers James, Patrick, and Paul. Her funeral services will be held on July 17, 2024, 2:00 to 5pm, at T.M. Ralph Plantation Funeral Home.
