Barbara Rutland-Grego was born on June 24, 1947, in Atlanta, TX and passed away peacefully on Friday, August 30, 2024, at Greenhill Villas in Mount Pleasant, TX at the age of 77.
Barbara is survived by her loving husband, Tony Grego of 28 years, her children, Jason Cook and wife, Angie, Debbie Lutz, and husband, Micheal, 11 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, her siblings, Mary Goulas, Jaquita Rutland, Stan Rutland, Debbie Gerhart, and Penny Rutland.
As the eldest of six children, Barbara was known for her strong personality, some might say "bossy." She was an exceptional cook who loved adventure but, above all, cherished her family and sought to bring joy to others. Despite the challenges posed by her illness and injuries, which ultimately limited her mobility; her spirit and sense of humor will be dearly missed. We find solace in knowing that she is now with Jesus, free from all the struggles that once held her back.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Eva and Walter Rutland, her daughter, Anna Cook Khamsini and her grandson, Tevin Procter.
