Barbara J. Hansen

Barbara J. Hansen passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at Vitas Hospice Center in Rockledge, Florida. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of thirty-seven years, Ardell C. Hansen of Palm Bay, Florida.
Barbara was born on November 14, 1949 in Washington, DC to Richard and Mary Dodson, who preceded her in death. She graduated from Wheaton High School in Wheaton, Maryland and was employed for many years as a bookkeeper, until she retired. Barbara and Ardell met in California in 1983 and moved to Palm Bay, Florida in 2003.
Barbara's religion was Methodist. Barbara lived that Christian spirit by being a loving champion for animals. In turn, her many pets over the years returned that love, with interest.
Barbara will be remembered for her loving and caring personality. She was quick to laugh and inspired those in her orbit by finding the joy in life, even through it's many challenges.
Along with her husband Ardell, Barbara is survived by her brother Kenneth Dodson, her two stepdaughters Alison Smith (George) and Jodell Johnson (Peter) and two grandsons, Mitchell Johnson and Max Johnson.
