Barbara Ann Holland, 85, of Easton, PA passed away Monday, November 18th, at Gracedale, Nazareth, PA.
Barbara was born in Bronx, NY on July 2, 1939, a daughter of the late Herman and Frances (Hulik) Scheffer.
She was the wife of James T. Holland. They celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary this past July. Barbara was a graduate of Fordham Prep School in Bronx, NY. Upon moving to Alpine Lake, PA, she was employed as a legal secretary in the law offices of Bensinger & Weekes. After moving to Tucson, AZ she was employed at Shultz & Rollins Law Office in Tucson, AZ until retiring in 2009. After retiring, Barbara worked at the Old Tucson Movie Studios in Tucson, AZ. She enjoyed making wreaths and reading.
Barbara was a member of St. Rocco's Catholic Church in Martins Creek, PA, where she was a member of the Alter and Rosary Society.
In addition to her husband James, Barbara is survived by two daughters, Lisa Holland-Scheffer, of Tucson, AZ and Dianna Alfero, wife of Nick, of Bangor, PA; two sons Dean Giangregorio, husband of Mary, of Virginia Beach, VA and Christopher Holland, of Schuylkill Haven, PA; a brother, Edward Scheffer, of Titusville, FL, 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son Phillip Holland
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Tuesday, November 26th at St. Rocco's Catholic Church, 6658 School St., Martins Creek, PA. Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Gathering from 10 to 11 AM on Tuesday, November 26th at the church. Graveside Services will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Pen Argyl, PA. Arrangements have been entrusted to the James J. Palmeri Funeral Home, Martins Creek, PA. Online condolences may be offered at palmerifuneralhome.com.
