Barbara Charmaigne Landers, age 79, passed away August 17, 2025, in Cape Girardeau, MO.

She was born October 11, 1945, in Morehouse, MO, daughter of the late Clyde Lorell Crider and Willie Lorene McGerity.

She married Howard Lee Landers on October 31, 1963. He survives of the home.

Barbara is a 1962 graduate of Morehouse Highschool and is of the Pentecostal faith. She spent Sundays and Wednesdays watching Jimmy Swaggart and Joel Olsteen's church services. She enjoyed doing word finds and spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband she is survived by one son, Stacey (Lisa) Landers of Jackson, MO; two daughters, Holly (Clifton) Landers Collins of Columbia, MO and Tammy Landers of Sikeston, MO; one brother, Samuel Crider of Sikeston, MO; six grandchildren, Shakilia Hoskins, Darell Hoskins, Forrest Stidham, Kiya Vaught, Levi Landers and Lexi Landers; and three great-grandchildren, Kaden Johnson, Angel Johnson, and Brody Hoskins.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by seven brothers, Sonny Crider, Howard Crider, Johnny Crider, Michael Crider, George Crider, Jimmy Crider, and Winston Crider; and two sisters, Betty Crider and Tamara Crider.

Visitation will be Friday, August 22, 2025, from 10:00 until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston, MO. Pastor Steve Francis will be officiating the services.
