Barbara A. Mahony

Barbara A. Mahony, 82, of Whiting, NJ, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 16, 2025, with loved ones surrounding her. She is preceded in death and now reunited in heaven with her first husband Henry Ewart (1984), second husband William Mahony (2022), Mother Ann Konarski (1970), Father Arthur Petty (1996) and her brother Arthur Petty (2023).
She is survived by her siblings, daughter and grandson. Barbara will forever be missed and held in the hearts of her family. Her memory will live on with her adoring Grandson Vincent Ewart, his wife Lauren and Barbara's daughter Ann Ewart.
Known for being a strong-willed woman as well as a devoted mother and grandmother. Her mission was to provide and care for the ones in her household. The love she had for her family and pets was truly unwavering. Barbara was born in Newark on April 21, 1942. She was a long-time resident of South Toms River and later moved to Whiting in 2006 where she met her late husband, William. They both enjoyed many years traveling and making memories in retirement. She was an active member of her community and often made everyone around her laugh and smile. Barbara loved playing bingo with friends, gardening and walking her dogs around Double Trouble State Park.
