Barb was my first English teacher when I moved to Endwell. I remember nothing of the content, but I learned the best lesson possible...that there is a joy to teaching, a joy that draws students to learn, to be curious and to enjoy the act of being a student. That lesson helped me immeasurably in my own teaching career.
Barb and Mike were a teaching team and a life team. They nominated me as a Graduate of Distinction, but they had both made it possible with their teaching.
Rest well, Barb.

Mrs. Maxian was a great teacher. She was passionate about teaching and the impact she had on her students. Condolences to Mr. Maxian and family.

Mr. Maxian, I am so sorry to hear of your wife's passing. Sympathies to your family as well. I didn't know her, but you were my tennis coach; fond memories. May your memories of her warm your heart at this difficult time.

Mrs. Maxian was a special person. I got to know her when I became a member of Z Club in my junior year. She was very dedicated to our group and always there for us girls. In my senior year she encouraged me to run for president of Z Club. I'm so glad she did because taking on that leadership role was a "first" for me and with her support, it gave me a new-found self-confidence.
She and I would keep in touch through the years as I pursued my teaching degree and then eventually became a Maine-Endwell colleague. She was always so friendly, kind, and still interested in her past students. May She Rest In Peace. My condolences to her family.
