Barbara Mayeux Obituary
Funeral Mass for Barbara Jean Mayeux of Cottonport will take place at the St. Mary’s Assumption Catholic Church of Cottonport on Thursday, October 3rd, 2024 beginning at 11:00am with Rev. Charlie Ray officiating. Burial will take place at the St. Mary Catholic Cemetery 2.
Barbara Jean Mayeux, age 85, passed away at the Rapides Regional Medical Center of Alexandria on Saturday, September 28th, 2024. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 67 years Gerald Mayeux; children, Geraldine Ducote (Shane), Gary Mayeux, Mike Mayeux (Linda), Ricky Mayeux (Melissa), Steve Mayeux (Rebecca), and Arthur Mayeux (Stacey); brother, Clyston Guillory; grandchildren, Joseph, Annie, Emily, Jacob, Farrah, Wesley, Linsley, Kaitlyn, Isaiah, Israel, Elizabeth, Cade, Colby, Reagan, Greg, and Nick; and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Jerry Mayeux; parents, Louis & Nora Lemoine Guillory; and siblings, Lettie Ducote and Bert Guillory.
Visitation will begin on Wednesday, October 2nd, 2024 from 5:00pm until 10:00pm at the Escude Funeral Home of Cottonport and will resume on Thursday morning at 8:00am.
