Barbara Jean McNair, a faithful woman of God, devoted wife, adoring mother and Honey went to be with Jesus early Thursday morning, October 17, 2024. She was surrounded by her loving family who know she is now healed and pain free, rejoicing with our Lord.
Barbara was born on March 5, 1945, in Antlers, Oklahoma to Willie and Nettie (Maxey) Moore. She grew up in Borger, Texas for most of her childhood and shortly after finishing high school, she attended beauty school and attained her Cosmetology license. Barbara took such great pride in being the very best hair stylist even up until the day she left this Earth. She was always messing with her hair and everyone else's, and the higher and more volume, the better.
Barbara owned two salons and worked at several throughout the years. Her talent behind the chair was unmatched, and she loved her clients and co-workers as family. Barbara touched and counseled many lives by doing what she loved and was called to do for over fifty years. She was loved by her clients as a hardworking, loyal hairdresser, who was always driven to learn and adapt to new styles throughout the years. Barbara Jean made sure she was never outdated!
Barbara married William McNair on September 17, 2004. They finally resided in a beautiful home in DeCordova, Texas after many years of hair dressing and boot scooting in Fort Worth. Bill and Barbara were known to be a hoot, always joking around (well, at least one of them was) and definitely always up for a good time. Their love for each other never wavered up until the day Jesus called her home.
Barbara had four boys, and often joked but meant every word, about being the ultimate boy mom. She deeply loved her children and spent her life providing for them, guiding them, encouraging them, unconditionally loving them, praying for them and their spouses, and was known to always be baking something or cooking the very best fried chicken, fried pork chops and gravy for them. Her grandkids will forever remember her Mac n cheese as the very best! God blessed Barbara with the most beautiful family, and she loved them whole heartedly, and they will forever love her.
Barbara was a fantastic wife and mother, but she was by far the most outstanding Honey and was so incredibly proud of each of her grand babies. She always had a twinkle in her eye when talking about them. Honey was indeed a baby whisperer, and so very much enjoyed being a huge part of their lives. She loved watching them grow up, and was constantly supporting them at numerous cheer competitions, sports events, dance recitals, baptisms and more. There was never a doubt that Honey was most happy when she had all her kids and babies around.
Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure she is loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Nettie Moore, her son, Cody Duaine Williams, her brothers Joe and Bill Moore and her sisters, Patsy Esque and Peggy Rodriguez.
Barbara is survived by her husband Bill, her son Tory and wife, Gina Williams of Mansfield, her son Lance and wife, Rachel Williams of Trophy Club, her son Ashton and wife, Simmie Myers of Arlington, her beloved grandchildren Trevor Williams and wife Andrea, Katie Binkley and husband Connor, Emma Williams, Reid Williams, Hensley Myers, Preslee Williams, Adalynn Myers and Cole Williams, her great granddaughter Olivia Binkley, and her sister Callie "Tootsy" and husband, Johnny Park of Nashville, TN. Barbara has many extended family members and countless nieces and nephews whom all loved her dearly.
A celebration of Barbara's life will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at the Wiley Funeral Home at 400 E US Hwy 377 Granbury, TX 76048 with a reception following.
