Barbara J. Morris, of Salvo, NC, born on January 7, 1948, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2024, at the age of 76.
Barbara was always diligent and dedicated in her work as a bank teller, dental assistant, artist and the various jobs she found on the island which carried over into her family and love for nature. Barbara was known for long walks combing the beaches for sea glass, treasures and kisses from the sun. Her love for life was marked by an unwavering dedication to her family and friends. Her greatest joys and passions were found in her roles as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She cherished every moment spent with her family and was the heart of her home.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Eugene Weber and Elizabeth Schafer Weber.
Barbara is survived by her loving husband, Kenneth Morris; her children, Tracy Lee Morris and Tobi Ann Morris; and daughter-in-law, Tia Morris. She leaves behind cherished grandchildren: Raelin Morris, Jasper Morris, Lizzi Morris, Kristopher Worner, and Kortney Morris, as well as great-grandchildren Reiagn Worner and Corena Worner. Barbara is also survived by her sister, Sandy Kinser of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
The family will hold a service at a later date to honor Barbara's memory and celebrate her life. Her presence will be dearly missed by all who knew her, and her legacy will live on through the love and memories shared by her family and friends.
