Barbara Ann Rice (Flaherty) of Bridgewater, passed away November 12, 2024 at the age of 90.
Barbara was a Licensed Practical Nurse and retired from the Faulkner Hospital after 31 years. She was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church in Hanson. Barbara volunteered her time and was a member of the council of aging in Whitman, West Bridgewater, Bridgewater, and Halifax where she played bingo and was part of many other activities. She enjoyed shopping on QVC, watching the Red Sox, and playing bingo. Barbara was an avid ham radio operator. Her main passion in life was spending time with those she loved. Barbara will be sadly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Loving mother of James Rice and his wife Anna of Norton, John Rice and his wife Joan of Bridgewater, and Robert Rice and his wife Mary of Kansas. Adored grandmother of Kelley, James, John Jr., Joseph, MaryBeth, Joshua, and Sarah. Cherished great grandmother of Ivy, Wyatt, Mary Luna, Adrian, Riley, and Abel. Caring sister of the late Charles Schormann. Also survived by many other extended family members and dear friends.
Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, from 10 AM – 12 PM in the Chapman Funeral Home, BRIDGEWATER. A funeral service will follow at 12 PM in the Chapman Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Barbara may be made to Boston Rescue Mission.
