Barbara (Rodgers) Schmidt, 85 of Warminster, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on February 25, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on March 31, 1939 in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Robert J., Sr. and Anna (Maguire) Rodgers. Barbara was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother whose warmth and sense of humor brought joy to all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years, Robert and is survived by her three boys, Mark, Terry (Kimberly) and Gerry (Cindy. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Christina (Billy), Mark and Jack. She took immense pride in being a Nana to her great-grandchildren, Connor, Shea and Cole. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews and extended family that she loved dearly and remained very close to.
In addition to her parents and husband, Barbara was preceded in death by her brothers Robert J. Rodgers, Jr. and James Rodgers as well as daughter-in-law Kimberly Schmidt.
Barbara grew up in Northeast Philadelphia where she attended Nazareth Academy for both grade school and High School. She dedicated over 20 years of service to the Freedom Credit Union, where she formed lasting friendships. She had a love for the simple pleasures in life, like spending summers down the shore in Wildwood, NJ with family and friends, enjoying the ocean breeze and sipping her favorite Tito's and Club, no fruit.
Barbara's kindness, laughter and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed but forever cherished.
Relatives and friends will be received by her family on Friday, March 7th after 9:30am in St. John Bosco Church, 215 E. County Line Road, Hatboro and are invited to attend her Funeral Mass at 10:30am. Her interment will follow in St. John Neumann, Chalfont. In her memory, raise a glass, share a story and remember the joy she brought to those around her. To share memories and condolences with Barbara's family, please visit her tribute page above
