Bernadette L. Zacierka "Bonnie" (nee Konkolewska) passed away on June 5, 2025 at the age of 82. Beloved wife of the late Michael "Cookie" Zacierka. Loving mom of Denise Rosato (Russ), Michael Zacierka (Nora) and Jill Losada (Mario). Dear grandmom of Donna Herbert (Michael), Jeffrey Rosato, Michael, Matthew and Katelyn Zacierka and Isabella and Alexander Losada. Great grandmom of Gemma and Remy. Bonnie is also survived by her sister-in-law Blanche McCoy.
Bonnie was born and raised in Philadelphia and graduated from Nazareth Academy, where she built a strong foundation rooted in faith, learning, and community. She had a sharp mind and a love for words, often found challenging friends and neighbors to a lively game of Scrabble on the patio or engaging in thoughtful discussions with her beloved book club. A devoted and active member of the CYO at St. Bernard’s, she poured her heart into supporting the youth of her parish. More than anything, she cherished time with her family—especially her grandchildren—rarely missing a sporting event, always cheering from the sidelines with pride and love.
Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation and funeral on Sat. June 14, 2025 beginning at 9:30am at the Slabinski Sucharski Funeral Home 2614 Orthodox St., Phila., PA 19137 (Parking on premises). Prayer service will begin at 11am. Interment will be held privately.
