Barbara Thomas Obituary
Okeechobee –Barbara "Babs" Anna Thomas died June 11, 2024. A lifetime resident of Okeechobee, she was a member of Oakview Church. She enjoyed fishing, cooking, taking care of grandkids, and camping on the river.
Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her father, Wilburn Ison Lawson; mother, Rosealee Lawson; brother, Kenny Lawson; and daughter, Kathy Thomas.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Alan Thomas, of Okeechobee; daughters, Mary Lee Fountain (David) and Lisa Ingram, both of Okeechobee; grandchildren, Shane O'Cain (Krissi), Brian O'Cain (Averi), Justina Mattson (Newt), Cade Stokes (Virginia), Jared Fountain (Joanna), and McKenzie Wilkerson (Vance); and eight great grandchildren.
Family will receive friends from 1p.m. until service at 2 p.m. Friday, June 14, 2024 at Buxton & Bass Okeechobee Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
