Barbara Collins Wall, 84, of Ararat, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, May 30, 2025.

Born June 26, 1940, in Surry County, Barbara was the daughter of the late George Randall and Lilla Dove Marion Collins. She was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years and the love of her life, Bobby Ray Wall, as well as her daughter, Donna Jean Wall Stiltner.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Vonda Wall Rogers of Ararat; Kari Stiltner of Ararat; grandchildren Joshua Matthew (Autumn) Stiltner of Orlando, Florida, Shaylee DeVon Rogers-Moore of Ararat, and Chancey (Cody) Furnas of Asheville; and great-grandchildren Ryder and Randi Clare Moore, and Paul, Malachi, and Jeremiah Stiltner.

She is also survived by her sisters, Margaret Collins Campbell, Frances Collins Turney, and Hilda Collins Joyce; and brothers Joe Collins and Donnie Collins. She was preceded in death by one sister, Norma Lee Collins Dezern, and three brothers: infant boy Collins, Wade Leon Collins, and Denny Ray Collins.

Barbara spent several years working at Hanes Hosiery alongside her sister and later at Friday’s Child Daycare, where she became affectionately known as “Ms. Bar-ba.” She was well-known for bringing her cast-iron skillet to the daycare to make cornbread.

Barbara lived a hardworking and independent life for many years. After her husband's passing, she continued to care for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren while also managing a farm on her own. Her faith in Jesus was her source of strength throughout her life and is now her peace for eternity. She will be deeply missed by many.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, June 1st at 2:00 p.m. at Old Pine Hill Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Old Pine Hill Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 3263 NC-268, Siloam, NC 27047. Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson is serving the Wall family.

Following the service, family and friends are welcome to gather at the home of Vonda Wall Rogers.
