Canton – Barbara J. Wright, at the age of 84, passed away peacefully August 5, 2025, at Aultman Hospice. She was born on April 10, 1941, in Canton, Ohio, to the late Marion and Evelyn (Selby) Wey. She met her loving husband, Dave, roller skating and the rest is history.

Barbara was a homemaker and loving mother to three beautiful children. She loved country music, dancing, traveling, and playing cards. She also helped raise multiple grandchildren. She graduated from Central Catholic High School and played the saxophone in the marching band. She was a faithful church goer and fulltime member of Reedurban Presbyterian Church. She was full of love, laughter, and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother; sister; and friend to many.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David J. Wright and grandson-in-law, Kyle Benjamin. Those who are left to cherish her memory are: daughters, Joanne (Andy), Julie (Kenny); son, Jim (Beth); grandchildren, Terra (Mike), Kristen (Nate), Mikey (Kaitlyn), David, Daniel (Chelsea), Devin, and Hope; nine great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and brothers, John (Stella) and Tom (Carm).

Family and friends are welcome for visitation, Monday, August 11, 2025, at Lamiell Funeral Home, 1353 Cleveland Avenue, NW, Canton, Ohio from 6 to 8 pm and Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at Reedurban Presbyterian Church, 1145 Perry Drive, NW, Canton from 10 to 11 am. The service will follow at 11 am. Interment will be held at North Canton Cemetery, 7846 Pittsburg Avenue, NW, N, Canton.

In lieu of flowers, please consider Memorial Contributions to Aultman Hospice.
