Barbara Zawicki Obituary

Published by Legacy on Sep. 19, 2025.
Barbara Ann Zawicki June 10, 1935 - September 16, 2025 With love and gratitude for her beautiful life, we share the passing of our dear mother, Barbara Zawicki, who left this world peacefully on September 16, 2025 at the age of 90. She was born on June 10, 1935 to Ben and Anna Burczyk in Detroit, Michigan. She is survived by her only sibling, a sister, Marcia Capp. Mom had a gift for hosting fabulous Christmas Eve celebrations where polish food abounded. She loved feeding the birds, puzzling, shopping at Chico's and lunching. She loved northern Michigan and she and my dad had cabins in Mio and Gaylord Michigan. Her love and encouragement shaped us all, and her presence will be deeply missed every day! She was predeseased by the love of her life, her husband of 66 years, Ron Zawicki, whom she met in high school and it was her favorite story to share. She leaves behind her children Pam, Jim and David, seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren who will carry her memory in their hearts forever! We are deeply grateful for the love, prayers and support we have received. While our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing that Barb's love and light will continue to guide us.
