Timothy Zawicki, age 79, passed away peacefully on Tuesday October 8,2024 at Southwest General Hospital in Middleburg Heights. He was born on August 5, 1945 to his parents, Anthony and Marie Zawicki of Cleveland, Ohio. He was a graduate of Holy Name High School and went on to study at the Cleveland Institute of Music where he played trombone. Upon graduating, Tim played the trombone professionally for the Cleveland Orchestra, New York Philharmonic and traveled abroad performing. He eventually settled in New York City and obtained a MBA in Finance from Long Island University and Accountancy from Brooklyn College. While living in Manhattan, he worked as an accountant at Sovereign Servicing Corp. and Coronet Capital. He drove a taxi cab and worked as a sous chef at several restaurants. He eventually moved back to Ohio to be closer to family.
Tim loved spending time listening to music, eating great food and playing cards with friends. He is survived by his cousin, James (Linda) Kasel,and their children Tonya (Scott, and son Luke) Underwood and James Kasel of Seville,Oh.
Tim will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at Calvary Cemetery in Cleveland,OH. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 606 E Washington St, Medina, OH 44256.
