Barney Allen Scott, 52, lifelong resident of Frankfort, passed away Thursday, April 20, 2023, in Lafayette. He was born in Frankfort on November 29, 1970, to Melvin and Deborah Jeannie (Bond) Scott.
Barney attended Frankfort High School. He worked at Kayco, P.R. Mallory, and in the maintenance department at Clinton House. He had also worked in Lafayette. Barney loved fishing, camping, and spending time with his nieces and nephews.
Barney is survived by his father, Melvin of Colfax; daughters, Marley and Lilly; sisters, Melissa Harris, Sheila Hutchinson, and Christie Denman of Frankfort; and brothers, Brian Scott, Joshua Scott, and Melvin E. Scott of Frankfort.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Deborah.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, from 11 am until the start of the funeral service at 1 pm at Day & Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort with Pastor James Barnard officiating. Burial will follow in the Bunnell Cemetery in Frankfort. Memorial donations are preferred to Day & Genda Funeral Home to help defray funeral expenses.
