It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Barry Busby, age 65, of Canton, Ohio, who passed away peacefully on December, 1st at 10:51 p.m. Barry was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, friend, and community member whose impact on those around him will never be forgotten.
Barry was the proud owner and operator of the Irish Pub and Grill for 20 years, a place where friendships flourished, and everyone was treated like family. His warm spirit, generosity, and passion for bringing people together created a welcoming space for all who walked through his doors. The pub was a true reflection of his heart and his ability to connect with others, making it a cherished institution in the community.
A talented artist and designer, Barry held a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts degree from Bowling Green State University. His home was filled with his original artwork, each piece a testament to his creativity and skill. Barry’s artistic talents extended beyond the canvas and were woven into everything he did, leaving a legacy of beauty and craftsmanship.
Barry was also an avid car enthusiast, with a deep love for classic Mustangs. He proudly owned a 1968 Mustang GT350, a 1984 Mustang GT, and a 1990 Mustang LX Convertible. His passion for these iconic cars reflected his appreciation for history, craftsmanship, and design, qualities that he also carried into his personal and professional life.
A lifelong Cleveland sports fan, Barry was a devoted supporter of the Browns, Indians, and Cavaliers. His enthusiasm for his hometown teams was unmatched, and he shared that passion with anyone who would listen, always rooting for his teams with unwavering loyalty.
Barry was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Busby; his maternal grandparents Ralph and Mabel Bower, and paternal grandparents Harry and Faye Busby.
Barry is survived by his mother, Barbara Busby; his high school sweetheart of 47 years and wife for 39 years, 8 months and 8 days, Deborah Cassel Busby; sons, Clayton (Ashten) Busby, Conner Busby, and Carter Busby; grandsons, Zane Busby, and Tate Busby; brothers, Brad Busby, Brady (Chris) Busby, and Brock Busby; mother and father-in-law, Dave and Jackie Cassel; and many other family members and friends.
