Barry Leigh Keene, age 85 went to his heavenly home on July 30, 2022. A native of Lebanon, Tennessee he was raised by his loving grandparents Paris and Eva Jennings. He was a graduate of Lebanon High School and attended MTSU. He is survived by his devoted wife of 65 years Nita Chance Keene: two children, Kay Randolph (Phil), Kathy Blansett (Eddie); two grandchildren, Matthew Keene Randolph (Blanca), Bo Darrin Lee Blansett (Stacey); four great-grandchildren, Lilly and Daisie Blansett and Eli and Evan Patrick; honorary family members Emily and Eva Viera, Houston Cohea, and Allie, Richard and Robin Knowles; special friends Brenda Ballard, Don and Avon Clemmons, Ray and Lynda Dinwiddie and Mike and Pat Piercey.
Mr. Keene worked for State Farm Insurance Company for 42 years. He was a dedicated minister for the churches of Christ for 54 years. He served as a beloved associate minister of Highland Heights church of Christ for 40 years.
A very special thank you to the rehab unit at Adams Place for their wonderful care, compassion and kindness.
A memorial service is planned for Saturday, August 6, at Highland Heights church of Christ in Lebanon, TN. Visitation is from 9:00 to 11:00 with the service at 11:00. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Brazil Children's Home or India Missions, c/o Highland Heights church of Christ, 510 N Castle Heights Ave., Lebanon, TN 37087. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire family. Mr. Keene was such a lovely man. He and his lovely wife treated me with such kindness when I was in High School and friends with his daughter Kay.
