Barry E. Sweigart, 76, of Bainbridge passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 21, 2025. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late David and Goldie (Gainer) Sweigart. Barry was the loving husband of 39 years to Nancy J. (Shaffer) Sweigart.

Barry was a graduate of Lower Dauphin High School and attended Elizabethtown College. His passions included farming, horses, classic cars, and hunting. After retiring from M&M Mars, Barry farmed full time. He loved working the land and nature. A life member of the American Quarter Horse Association, Barry enjoyed training young horses, trail riding, and team roping. Restoring classic cars was a hobby he found relaxing.

He is preceded in death by brothers David Sweigart and Arthur Sweigart, along with his parents.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 21, 2025 at 2PM at Stevens Hill Community Church of the Brethren, 3131 Turnpike Road, Elizabethtown, PA 17022.
