Barry Wayne Womack Sr.

Barry Wayne Womack Sr., beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully from natural causes on November 10, 2025, at the age of 78.
Born on February 13, 1947, in Atlanta, Georgia, Barry grew up surrounded by the love of his parents and siblings. He later built a life grounded in dedication, integrity, and devotion to the people he cherished most.
Barry's professional journey began in the hearth industry, where he found his lifelong calling. Over the course of more than 35 years, he worked with pride and passion at Vermont Castings, earning the respect of colleagues and clients throughout the industry. His craftsmanship, work ethic, and genuine character left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. Barry eventually retired with a deep sense of fulfillment for all he had accomplished.
Barry's greatest joy in life came from his family. He married the love of his life, Maryanne, and together they shared 44 wonderful years. He was a devoted father to his son, Barry Womack, and a proud grandfather to his grandson, Jessie Smith. Whether hosting lively gatherings in the garage or spending weekends on the golf course, Barry cherished every moment spent with those he loved.
Outside of work and family, Barry pursued his passion for collecting antique cars, a hobby that brought him immense joy and nostalgia. He treasured the stories and adventures he shared with his brother, Chester Womack Jr., memories that added richness and warmth to his life.
Barry was preceded in death by Chester Womack, Kathleen Womack, and Deanah Womack.
A Memorial Service to honor Barry's life will be held on December 6, 2025, at 1:00 PM in the Peachtree Corners Chapel of Crowell Brothers Funeral Homes & Crematory with Dr. Michael McCullar officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather, reflect, and celebrate the profound impact he made.
Barry Wayne Womack Sr. will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him. His legacy of love, laughter, and warmth will continue to inspire his family and friends for years to come.
