Bartolo Dennis Martinez, affectionately known as Dennis, passed away peacefully at his home on August 23, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on June 25, 1997, Dennis faced life's challenges with unwavering strength, resilience, and courage, always drawing comfort and inspiration from the love of his family, which was at the center of his life.
Dennis especially cherished his nieces and nephews, whom he adored as if they were his own children. He loved spending time with them-playing video games, talking about sports, and sharing laughter and joy. Even as the youngest sibling, Dennis naturally took on a protective role, always looking out for those he loved and offering guidance and support whenever it was needed.
He is survived by his parents, Maria and Bartolo Martinez; his sister, Amanda (Jose Perez) and their children, Jose and Mateo; his brother, Uriel (Anna Brena) and their children, Tianna, Nathan, and Uriel Jr.; his grandparents, Graciela and Felipe Castillo, and Ignacia Martinez; as well as aunts, uncles, and cousins, all of whom will forever carry his memory in their hearts. Dennis is preceded in death by his grandfather, Juan Martinez; his uncle Ignacio Martinez; his aunt Celia Martinez and beloved niece, Mia Perez, whose memory he cherished deeply.
A rosary will be prayed followed by visitation on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Herrington / Land of Memory Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, August 28, 2025, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Land of Memory Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Herrington / Land of Memory Funeral Home.
Though he faced great challenges, Dennis did so with a brave heart and a spirit that uplifted everyone around him. He will be remembered for his courage, his loving heart, and the remarkable example he set in facing life's trials with dignity and grace. His legacy is one of love, courage, and resilience-a reminder to all of us to treasure the time spent with family, to love deeply, and to face life with bravery.
Pallbearers will be Uriel Martinez, Jose Perez, Angel Cabrera, Hunberto Martinez, Miguel Martinez, and Jerry Martinez.

Bartolo Dennis Martinez, carinosamente conocido como Dennis, fallecio pacificamente en su hogar el 23 de agosto de 2025, rodeado de su amada familia. Nacido el 25 de junio de 1997, Dennis enfrento los desafios de la vida con fortaleza inquebrantable, resiliencia y valentia, encontrando siempre consuelo e inspiracion en el amor de su familia, que fue el centro de su vida.
Dennis tuvo un carino muy especial por sus sobrinas y sobrinos, a quienes adoraba como si fueran sus propios hijos. Disfrutaba pasar tiempo con ellos-jugando videojuegos, hablando de deportes y compartiendo risas y alegrias. Aunque era el hermano menor, Dennis asumio naturalmente un papel protector, siempre cuidando a los que amaba y ofreciendo orientacion y apoyo cuando mas se necesitaba.
Le sobreviven sus padres, Maria y Bartolo Martinez; su hermana, Amanda (Jose Perez) y sus hijos, Jose y Mateo; su hermano, Uriel (Anna Brena) y sus hijos, Tianna, Nathan y Uriel Jr.; sus abuelos, Graciela y Felipe Castillo, e Ignacia Martinez; asi como tios, tias y primos, quienes llevaran para siempre su memoria en sus corazones. Le precedieron en la muerte su abuelo, Juan Martinez; su tio, Ignacio Martinez; su tia, Celia Martinez; y su querida sobrina, Mia Perez, cuyo recuerdo guardaba con gran amor.
El Santo Rosario y la velacion se llevaran a cabo el miercoles 27 de agosto de 2025, de 6:00 p.m. a 8:00 p.m., en Herrington / Land of Memory Funeral Home. La misa funebre se celebrara el jueves 28 de agosto de 2025, a la 1:00 p.m., en la Iglesia Catolica del Sagrado Corazon. Posteriormente sera sepultado en el cementerio Land of Memory. Los servicios estaran bajo la direccion de Herrington / Land of Memory Funeral Home.
Aunque enfrento grandes desafios, Dennis lo hizo con un corazon valiente y un espiritu que elevaba a todos a su alrededor.
