He was married in 1966 and immigrated to the U.S. in 1967 to look for steady work. He worked for Jendoco Construction Company for many years.
Battista will always be remembered as a truly kind person who went out of his way to help others despite his own circumstances. Friends in Italy continue to ask family members that they run into about him. They continue to have very fond memories about his friendly and helpful demeanor.
Battista is survived by immediate family which include his wife Nives and daughters Susy (+Emile) and Nancy, his sister Graziella and her children Alberto and Stefania, his brother and sister-in-law Fausto and Luigina and their children Christian and Tania.
Visitation will be held Sunday February 23rd from 2-4 PM and 6 until the time of the Blessing Service at 7:30 PM at Neely Funeral Home, 2208 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw
