Beatrice R. "Bea" Bishop

NEW LIMERICK/LEWISTON – Beatrice R. Bishop, 70, known by most by Bea, Bebe, Red, Aunt Bebe, MOM, and most loved as Grammie, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2025, in Lewiston. Born on September 11, 1954, in Houlton, she was the daughter of Willard and Delora 'Lorrie' (McLean) Stevens.

Her happiest moments were those spent with her grandchildren. A true treasure hunter at heart, Bea loved the thrill of yard sales, always on the lookout for that perfect deal or the next freebie. Her love for pigs and teapots was only matched by her passion for cooking and sewing. An avid reader and word search and jigsaw enthusiast, she found joy in the little things in life.

Bea had an ability to make a lasting impression on everyone she met, especially those fortunate enough to work with her, as they were treated to her quick-witted humor. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Beatrice is survived by her husband, Calvin Bishop Jr., of Houlton, and her four beloved children: Tiffany Foster and Ryan Dow of Hodgdon, Mikel and Craig Lanzillotti of Las Vegas, NV, Calvin 'Josh' III and Theresa Bishop of Durham, and Terryn Bishop and Joel Henderson of Littleton. She is also survived by her six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and her sister, Zoe Morphy of Lebanon, ME.

She was predeceased by her parents, an infant son, Robinson McLean Gerow Bishop, and her siblings, Irvin Stevens, David Stevens, Judy McDowell, Stephanie 'Stevie' Winkleblech and Ronnie Stevens.

Friends and loved ones will gather to celebrate Bea's life on Saturday, August 23, 2025. Calling hours will be from 11:00 AM-12:00 PM at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water Street, Houlton, with a time for remembrance to follow at 12:00 PM.
