Beatrice "Bea" Margaret Kempker, age 96, of Jefferson City passed away peacefully at her home on October 4, 2025, surrounded by her family.
She was born on September 9, 1929, in St. Elizabeth, Missouri the daughter of Bernard and Gertrude (Weidinger) Lueckenhoff. She was married on September 29, 1951, to Gerald A. "Doc" Kempker who preceded her in death. Together they raised five children in a loving happy home.
After raising her children in the home, Bea worked as a dietician for the Prenger Family Center where she was affectionately known as "Aunt Bea". She was fondly known for her fried chicken, cinnamon rolls and cookies.
She was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan and loved to watch the birds and squirrels in her backyard, especially the cardinals that frequented her backdoor, especially in her final days. She was a member and past president of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 2693 Ladies Auxiliary, St. Peters Catholic Church and Alter Sodality. She was known for her kind, gentle and loving personality. Bea loved her children and family more than anything.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, "Doc"; her daughters, Sharon Jarrell-Green and Cheryl Eveler; son-in-law, Larry Jarrell; her sister Teresa Adrian; brothers, John, Jake and Albert; and her great-granddaughter, Sydney Carel.
Survivors include her son Gary B. (Molly), daughter Diane Towne (Ronnie), son Brian (Dee), her grandchildren Amy Frank (Shannon), Katie Hudson (Patton), Christy Carel (Tim), Jon Kempker (Ashley), Scott Eveler (Nancy), Rob Eveler (Carla), Matt Eveler (Ashley), Michelle Eveler, Amanda Bryant (Scott) Jennifer Vaughan (Wes), Chase Kempker and Alex Kempker. She was also survived by 16 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made to Safetynet or to the Eagles Ladies Auxillary #2693 Benefit Funds.
Friends and family will be received from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at Proto-Cathedral of St. Peter Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at Proto-Cathedral of St. Peter Catholic Church with Fr. Thomas Alber. Burial will be held at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum.
