Beatrice Minnibelle "Bea" Kohl

Beatrice Minnibelle Kohl (Wells), 97, of Winchester, VA, passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at Green Valley Commons in Winchester.
Bea was born in 1926 in Oklahoma. She earned her bachelor's degree in library science from Philippine Women's College.
Bea was an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God. She preached her first sermon at the age of 9 and continued as an evangelist until her marriage. She and her husband pastored until going into missionary work. She retired from the ministry after working in Sri Lanka, the Philippines, Belgium, Guam, West Virginia, New Jersey and all over the east coast from Canada to Florida.
She married Harold Kohl on March 21, 1946, in Elizabeth, NJ. He preceded her in death on February 20, 2005.
Bea is survived by her daughter, Loretta B. Storer of Winchester, VA; sons, Loren H. Kohl (wife Beth) of Hilliard, OH, Lyndon A. Kohl (wife Linda) of Easton, PA; nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren. Bea is also survived by her sister, Ruth Ann Efaw of Jake's Run, WV.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister, Maxine Dison.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Bea on Wednesday, December 27, at 10:00 at the Omps funeral home South Chapel, 1260 Front Royal Pike, Winchester, VA. Visitation begins at 9:00.
