Beavin Ray Cundiff, Sr., age 75 of Louisville, Kentucky passed away Thursday, January 16, 2025. He was born on December 2, 1949 in Hodgensville, Kentucky to the late Stuard and Bessie Murphy Cundiff. He was raised in Louisville, Kentucky in the Butchertown area and never left. He was an avid fisherman, loved western movies and was a devoted father, grandfather and friend.
Beavin formerly worked for LG&E laying many utility lines in Meade County and Brandenburg and Otter Creek. He was a maintenance man for many years. He started his own lawn care business, Beavin's Lawn Care.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Linda Sue Hardin Cundiff; brother, Herman Louis Cundiff; and his sister, Judy Mae Huber.
Beavin is survived by his loving children, Rebecca Lynn Cundiff, Beavin Ray Cundiff, Jr. (Tracy) and Margie June Cundiff; grandchildren, Derrick Ray Cundiff, Miranda Marie Cundiff, Blake Michael Cundiff, Brayden Wayne Cundiff, T.J. Lee Krages and Travis Lee Krages; great-grandchildren, Jayden Reece Krages, Nash Creed Krages, Talon James Cundiff and Mia Grace Crutchfield; and a host of relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 2pm to 4pm on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243. A celebration of Mr. Cundiff's life will follow at 4pm at the funeral home.
Burial will be private in Cave Hill Cemetery.
