It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Benny Valerio, age 73, on November 4, 2025. Benny died peacefully following a cardiac arrest at McKay Dee Hospital, Ogden, Utah.
Benny was born April 8, 1952, to Jose and Susan Valerio. Benny attended Tooele High School, graduating with the class of 1970. He received his associate's degree from Denver Automotive College. Benny excelled in the sport of archery, winning the Utah state title 3 out of 4 high school years. Benny had a passion for drawing. He spent countless hours filling binders with his artwork. Benny loved watching sports and wrestling. He was so happy when his brother, Joe, took him to a WWE wrestling match.
Benny had an infectious laugh and a great sense of humor. His kind heart and gentle disposition made him many friends throughout the years. He married Julie Ann Dugan on Valentines Day, February 14th, 1984.
Benny faced life with a disability illness that made life challenging for him. Benny is survived by his mother, Susan Valerio, siblings Debbie (Mike) Newton, Joe (Lorraine) Valerio, Steve Valerio, and Lance (Wendi) Valerio. Nephews Jeff Newton, Jon Newton, Paul Valerio, Tanner Valerio, and Landen Valerio. Nieces Valerie Ekins, Kellie Valerio, and Laicee Valerio.
