Benjamin “Ben” Wayne Capps, 55, of Gastonia, passed away at home on November 1, 2023. He was born March 31, 1968, in Gaston County, to Billie Ann Ford and the late Fredrick John Capps.
He is preceded in death by brothers, Joe Capps and Tommy Capps.
“Ben” was his mother’s best friend. He was a hard worker and never missed a day of work. He loved to play golf and enjoyed bowling.
Left to cherish his memories are brothers, John Capps, Duck Capps (Sherry); sisters, Missy McGinnis (Don), Angie Little (Eddie); stepdad, Roy Mathis; along with numerous nieces and nephews as well as aunts and uncles.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home on Monday, November 6, 2023.
“Bens” Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 PM with Pastor Kevin Ford officiating.
Interment will follow at Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery.
