Benjamin Cordaro Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cartwright Funeral Home - Holbrook on Dec. 29, 2025.
Benjamin Joseph Cordaro, Jr. of Holbrook, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2025, at the age of 80, after a long illness. Born on February 4, 1945, in Toledo, Ohio, he was the cherished son of the late Dr. Benjamin J. Cordaro and K. Elfriede (Rettig) Cordaro Wright, and the stepson of the late Alfred S. Wright.
Benjamin, affectionately known as Ben to his friends and family, grew up in a household that valued education and service. After graduating from Stoughton High School, he furthered his education by earning an associate degree from Quincy College.
He answered the call to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Air Force, where he was stationed in Tucson, Arizona and proudly served as a medic. Following his military service, Ben dedicated 40 years to Bank of America as an IT Data Processor, a role he performed with utmost integrity and dedication until his retirement.
Ben was a devoted brother to Lynn Perry of Dunedin, FL, William Cordaro and his wife Laurie of Whitman, and he carried fond memories of his late brother, Jonathan R. Cordaro. His role as an uncle was one, he treasured deeply, and he leaves behind several nieces and nephews.
An avid chess player, Ben's strategic mind was as sharp as his wit. He was also a devoted fan of the New England Patriots, celebrating their victories with the same enthusiasm with which he approached life.
Ben enjoyed spending quality time with his family and friends, was a voracious reader, enjoyed crafts, karate lessons, a classic tv enthusiast, and a longtime fan of the horror hostess character, Elvira.
A graveside service will be held in the Spring along with Military Honors in the Union Cemetery, Holbrook. Details will be announced when the services are scheduled.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the National Kidney Foundation, 209 W Central St, Natick, MA 01760 or to the American Heart Association, 300 5th Ave, Waltham, MA 02451.
