Benjamin White Goolsby

Benjamin White Goolsby born September 9th 1962, passed away at home November 13th 2025. Ben accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior at the age of 10 and was baptized at Edgewater Baptist Church. He graduated Minor High School in 1980 and then attended Bessemer Tech. He worked at the General Machinery Company for over 40 years. Ben was an avid fan of Alabama football. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie #972.
Ben was preceded in death by his father Franklin R Goolsby, and his Grandmother, Stella Caldwell.
Survived by his mother Thelma Jean Goolsby, brothers; Joel Goolsby (Sherri) Mark Goolsby (Karen). Nieces; Jennifer Pennington, Jamie Isgrigg, Jenn Doggett, Joanna Moreland. Nephew's; Jacob Goolsby, Tyler Garner; Great Nieces; Sara, Morgan, Madeline and Stella Isgrigg. Great Nephews; Cayden, Daelan, Riggs Moreland, and Jared Pennington Jr.
Ben was known for his sharp mind and remarkable memory, carrying a quiet confidence behind a tough exterior that guarded a truly kind and gentle heart. He found joy in quail hunting during his spare time and cherished every moment spent with his family. A familiar face at the Eagles, Ben balanced being a dedicated, hard-working man with the comfort of being a homebody who valued the simple, meaningful parts of life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
