Benjamin James Massey

Ben was born in Sharon, Connecticut to Bryant and Gail Massey on July 25, 1989. He graduated from Housatonic Valley Regional High School in Falls Village, CT and Johnson State College in Johnson, VT. He worked as a carpenter for the past several years and was very passionate and a bit of a perfectionist when it came to carpentry. He loved being out in nature, rock climbing, hiking, skiing, and exploring new hidden gems. Most of all though, he was happiest just being at home with his fiancé Stephanie and their two cats, working on the house, laying in the hammock in the yard, and sitting by the stream. He had a very calming presence and was always very reflective and kind, but also had a goofy side and loved to joke around.
Ben is survived by his fiancé Stephanie Locke of Eden; parents Bryant and Gail of Sharon, CT; brother Steven and sister in law Lindsey of Sheffield, MA; brother Kevin and his fiancé Lacey of East Canaan, CT; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
The family of Ben wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has offered their support and condolences during this very unfortunate time. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 on Thursday June 29, 2023 at the VFW in Hyde Park, VT.
