Benjamin "Ben" Udo Navalta, 68, passed away January 1, 2025 at his Virginia Beach residence.
Ben was born in Quezon City, Philippines on October 23, 1956 to Rufino Jr. and Mercedes Navalta. He graduated from Trinity College in 1973, and then Araneta University in the Agricultural field. After, he joined the United States Army, Infantry Division from the Philippines in 1974 and was honorably discharged in 1981. Following his service, he was a machine operator for over 20 years and recently retired in August 2024. His favorite thing to do was spending time with his daughter Amy, and his grandson, Casper. He will be fondly remember for always making funny jokes and helping others in need.
Preceding him in death are his mother and father, as well as his brother Ferdinand Navalta. Left to cherish his memory are his daughter Amy Navalta of Norfolk, VA; Grandson Casper Leighton of Norfolk, VA; sister Leila Lawrence of Virginia Beach, VA, and brothers Rufino Navalta, Jr. of San Antonio, TX and Nelson Navalta of Pensacola, FL.
The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown, Kempsville Chapel on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 from 12PM to 2PM. A service will follow, beginning at 2PM. Condolences to the family may be offered at www.hollomon-brown.com
